Valley Striders moving to Far Moss

Gledhill sent an email to all VSAC members on 23 December entitled "New
Horizons" and saying that we are moving our base from Leos to Far Moss
with effect from 1 January.
A few
people have reported not having received it.
If you haven't received it, you may find it in your junk folder. But to save searching, there is a copy on the

Junior 1 mile race and Club Handicap 5 mile race on
Monday 2 January
- Meeting point is the lodge at the bottom of
Goodrick Lane LS17 7RW. Note that Goodrick
Lane is a private road, please park on Alwoodley Lane or one of the side roads
nearby.
- Junior 1 mile meet 10am, there will be two
races, school years 1 to 5 and school years 6 to 11. Parents may run with their children in the
first race. In the second race,
depending on numbers of children, we may allow parents to race "against"
their children! These races are open to
juniors on the waiting list and also to friends of members. And are free to enter.
- We need a marshal at the turn-round point
of the 1 mile race and a few marshals along the route, if you can help, please
email [email protected]
.
- Club handicap 5 miles meet 10:30am to find
your start time. If you've no race
performances recorded in the results database, you will be asked for your
fastest recent 5k or 10k time and the "marksman" will give you a
start time. Slowest runners will start
first, fastest runners last. The
Handicap Cup will be awarded to the first runner across the line who has a performance in the database.
- We need a few marshals for the 5 mile race,

- Afterwards, food at Far Moss, as mentioned
in the "New Horizons" email.
We have 76 orders so far, but have booked a few spares for those that
missed the email, so if you want to come, please email [email protected] with
your order.
Training (or not) on Tuesday 3 January
- Juniors - no session
- Beginners/improvers - no session
- Intermediates - 7pm from Far Moss (pyramid session)
- Advanced - 7pm from Far Moss (3 by 10 at High Ashes)
Cross Country Entries (NB impending deadlines)

- Peco XC race 3 at West Park - Sunday 8 January
- Northern XC Championships - Tuesday 11 January
- English National XC Championships - Tuesday 11 January
