Subject: FW: VS Mini-update - Anniversary Run, Barbecue, Membership
Just a brief update, normal service will be resumed at
the weekend.
VS Anniversary
Barbecue this Sunday (20 July) has been CANCELLED, but
the run is still ON.
We’re meeting at Leos but have BROUGHT FORWARD
the time to 09:30.
We’ll be running down the Meanwood Valley Trail
(off road nearly all the way) to Woodhouse Moor, and then back to Leos
(slightly different route back), about 10 miles in total.
Then a shower at Leo’s followed by late
breakfast / early lunch at Angel Share at Chapel Allerton. It is just
across the road from the old Chapel Allerton Police Station. Some of us
went there last year after the Abbey Dash. I guess we’ll be there
about 11:30 to 11:45 (or 12:00 if we’re late setting off for the run!).

VS Summer Handicap
A week on Tuesday (29 July) is ON, meet down by the
Res at 7pm at the latest.
The run is 5 and a quarter miles, nearly all off road
but mostly good paths.
Afterwards it’s lasagne night at Leo’s, so
book by Sunday 27 July stating whether meat or vegetarian lasagne and whether
you also want apple pie.
Membership
The new England Athletics membership registration
system is now up and running and
If you received membership cards (competition
licences) about 3 months ago, these are now out of date and new ones will be on
their way to you soon (assuming you’ve paid your VS subs).
If you are one of the 40 or so who have joined since 1
September 2007, then you won’t have had a card previously, but you will
get one soon.
The new system has a new set of 7-digit registration
numbers to replace the old VLS numbers. You will find your number on our website

If a race entry form asks for a UK Athletics or
England Athletics or North of England Athletics registration number, this is
the number you need.
You’ll also need your new number for discount at
